Help:Reverse Outline Group
Problem
When inserting an outline group into a spreadsheet, the default behaviour is to put the expansion icon at the bottom of the rows to be grouped.
What is needed is to reverse this so that the expansion icon is at the top.
This problem also applies to columns where the expansion icon is at the right when you prefer it to be on the left of the columns being grouped.
Solution
To fix the problem, use the advanced options callout button on the Outline Group.
That is the tiny button in the bottom right that opens additional options
This will open a "Settings" dialog box
Uncheck Summary rows below details or
Uncheck Summary columns to the right of detail
as needed
Caveats
This will not preserve the direction of existing groups.
The option setting is all or none, therefore, you can't mix directions.
