American Education is full of acronyms. NCLB, FERPA, DASA, APPR, to list just a few. Behind these acronyms are laws, policies, and mandates that have real impacts on teachers and ultimately students. While some may be good intentioned and valuable, many only serve to create one more layer of bureaucracy and paper work that hinders innovation and creativity. So why haven't Virtual Worlds become part of our educational landscape? The answer is in the acronyms.
