The idea of six degrees of separation says we are six or fewer social connections away from anyone else in the world. Yet cognitive research implies practical constraints to how many connections we can individually sustain. This presentation gives operational definitions of social brain, small-world network, and metaverse, with application to increasing personal reach to others with shared areas of interest and practice.
